Graham + Sibbald’s Edinburgh office were delighted to be joined by Heriot Watt University student, Louise Snowie for one week of work experience in June 2019.
Having completed a degree in Business Management, Louise decided that she wanted to become a Surveyor after speaking to a family member that currently practices as one. Louise undertook a number of work experience placements with well-known property and surveying firms, to be sure that this was the right career pathway for her. Knowing that she needed an RICS accredited degree, Louise went back to University and is undertaking a Masters in Real Estate.
Louise spent time across each of the departments within the Edinburgh office, assisting with the teams as required and shadowing professional staff members in their day-to-day duties. She has said that from her time with Graham + Sibbald, she is particularly interested in Commercial Agency.
Louise commented, “I came in expecting to gain valuable insight into the day-to-day routine of a Surveyor and leave with a strong overview of the various teams and general procedures – I was not disappointed! I thoroughly enjoyed my week with Graham + Sibbald, and look forward to using the skills I learned moving forward.”
