Two APC Candidate Passes for the Building Surveying Department

Graham + Sibbald are excited to announce the success of Alistair Nicol (Edinburgh) and James Devine (Glasgow), who successfully passed his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and is now a Chartered Building Surveyor.

Alistair joined Graham + Sibbald in September 2020 having graduated from Robert Gordon University with a degree in Building Surveying. Alistair enjoys the fast pace within the Building Surveying department and developing his skillset even further within the business.

Alistair commented: “I feel very fortunate to have had the outstanding support from Graham + Sibbald since joining. Passing my APC has been a goal of mine since joining G+S and I’m so pleased to now say that I am a Chartered Building Surveyor.  The constant guidance throughout the process, alongside the valuable time spent in mock interviews with my colleagues was excellent as it is a stressful process. I’m looking forward to this next step in my career.”

James joined Graham + Sibbald in 2016 as Glasgow’s first Graduate Apprentice Building Surveyor and he graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2021 with a first class honours. James works to the best of his ability to ensure that all work that he submits is in correlation with the high standard that the name Graham + Sibbald brings to the construction industry.

James commented: “I am delighted to have passed my APC, the level of training and support I have received from everyone at Graham + Sibbald has allowed me to be in the best possible position to pass. Being within the business from graduate apprentice, to graduate surveyor now to being a chartered surveyor has provided me with a sound knowledge of the business as a whole.”

Both Alistair and James offer our clients a wide range of services on commercial properties, including;

  • Schedule of Dilapidations
  • Condition Surveys
