Graham + Sibbald were delighted to support two of their former Rising Star’s, Craig Benson and Grace Reid, during the recent Commonwealth Games which took place in Birmingham from late July through early August 2022.
Graham + Sibbald boast a long-standing history of supporting the wider community and delivering community benefits. This ranges from offering work placements/shadowing experiences for secondary school children across our office network, as well as encouraging and empowering our employees to get involved with and actively support a number of local charities by carrying out various fundraising activities throughout the course of the year.
In 2013, the business introduced a ‘Rising Star’ sponsorship programme in support of helping young Scottish Athletes to succeed and promote sporting achievements in Scotland. The programme has been hugely successful to date with four athletes receiving dedicated sponsorship to date and more in the pipeline as Graham + Sibbald continue to grow and develop their service offering and locations across the UK.
Craig Benson, Swimmer, was the first Rising Star sponsorship for Graham + Sibbald back in 2013, through Red Sky Management ahead of preparations for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. After three Commonwealth appearances, Craig made the decision for the 2022 Games to be his last in order to focus on his career.
Taking part in the Men’s 50m Breaststroke (Final 5th), Men’s 100m Breaststroke (Semi-Final 4th), Mixed 4 x 100m Medley Relay (Final 6th) and Men’s 4 x 100m Medley Relay (Final 3rd), Craig was successful in reaching the semi-finals and finals across each event both individually and for Team Scotland.

Grace Reid, Diver, is the most recent Rising Star sponsorship for Graham + Sibbald from 2018 through to 2020. Having competed across the globe from World Championships, European Championships, Olympic Games, FINA Diving World Cup and Commonwealth Games, Grace is a force to be reckoned with in the diving world.
Taking part in the Women’s 1m Springboard (Final 4th), Women’s 3m Springboard (Final 8th) and Mixed Synchronised 3m Springboard (Final 1st), Grace finished with a GOLD alongside her Mixed Synchronised partner, James Heatley, on the final day of the Games.
