Mark Esslemont

Director

Mark heads the Building Surveying team within our Inverness office and is a Chartered Building Surveyor of over 25 years’ experience. In 1993, he graduated with a Degree in Building Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University and started his professional career in Edinburgh in the same year. Mark gained experience working for a number of private practices in both Edinburgh and Glasgow prior to joining the Inverness office of Graham + Sibbald in 2003, being promoted to Associate in 2008. Experienced in all sectors of Building Surveying, including Construction Monitoring, Contract Administration, Landlord and Tenant issues, Building Surveys, Building Pathology, Insurance Reinstatement Assessments and Stock Condition Surveys. He is experienced in the provision of the Principal Designer role under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015, having previously performed Planning Supervisor and CDM coordinator duties under earlier versions of the Regulations. Mark has been an accredited Commercial Energy Performance Assessor since 2012.
