John McDougall

Head of Lease Consultancy

John joined Graham + Sibbald in 2015 as Head of Lease Consultancy and has over 20 years’ experience in the commercial property market. After studying Land Economics at the University of Paisley, he started his career at DTZ and spent 13 years in the lease advisory team, providing advice to landlords and tenants across all principal sectors. His experience also included forming and implementing rent review and lease renewal strategies on a number of Scottish shopping centres. John’s career has largely been in an advisory capacity, although for a spell was on the client side as Leasing and Asset Manager with Canadian pension fund, Ivanhoe Cambridge. At Graham+Sibbald, John advises on rent reviews, lease renewals and lease re-gears across Scotland and has also represented a number of clients in rent review Arbitrations and Independent Expert referrals.
