UK Chartered Surveyors and Property Consultants Graham + Sibbald welcome Stuart Blyth, Associate to the Business Rates team. Based within the Edinburgh office, Stuart is joining to assist the team at a crucial point in the rating process with changes being made to land and listed buildings.
Stuart has almost 15 years of experience working within the Valuation for Business Rates sector having started his career at Scottish Borders Assessors before moving onto Lothian Valuation Joint Board where he achieved his Chartership and became a member of RICS. During his time at Lothian Valuation Joint Board he helped to deliver the 2017 and 2023 Valuation Rolls, surveyed and valued a wide variety of properties and undertook the negotiating and settling of a range of appeals.
Stuart told us, “I am very excited to be joining Graham + Sibbald and starting my next chapter in my career with such a well-respected organisation. I have known Tim Bunker for over 10 years and I am delighted to get an opportunity to work alongside him and the rest of the team at a time when the Business Rates system is going through some significant developments.”
