Hotel + Leisure Hat-Trick Success

Graham + Sibbald’s Hotel + Leisure team are pleased to announce the successful letting of Botanica, Tighnabruaich.

This letting represents a hattrick for the team within Q1 of 2019, demonstrating the strength of the market in the West of Scotland and the quality of our targeted marketing campaigns. As Brexit continues to cause uncertainty of what will come at the end of the quarter, it would appear that the market at present is healthy and the firm are maintaining confidence that this will continue following 29th March.

Botanica is a restaurant with four double en-suite letting bedrooms, which also includes three-bedroom owner’s accommodation. We were instructed by the Landlords of the property when the previous lease agreement came to an end with the outgoing tenants. Our clients had operated the property for 26 years as the ‘Burnside Bistro’, so they were intimately involved with the property and wanted to see a future tenant prosper and enjoy operating a business in Tighnabruaich.

Brogan Grier, Chartered Surveyor at Graham + Sibbald, who handled the letting commented: “We knew the property was an appealing opportunity for an owner operator to create a popular business. As such, it was reassuring to see the scope of interest from around the globe – enquiries came from Italy, South Africa and New Zealand. In the end, established Scottish operators who have proven their abilities on the West Coast already, were the successful party.”

The property was brought to market on 18th January 2019, and was formally under offer by the 26th of February 2019 after good levels of interest and a number of viewings.
