Graham + Sibbald Expand Architectural Team With Key Senior Appointments

Multi-disciplinary Property Firm, Graham + Sibbald, have recently secured two senior appointments to support the continued growth of their Glasgow based Architectural team.

Tom Hamilton and Graeme Turner bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team that will expand the overall service provision and support the continued strategic growth of our architectural services to UK wide clients. Tom and Graeme collectively bring over 70 years of experience in architectural practice to Graham + Sibbald and previously worked together for over 20 years before joining the practice.

Tom has joined Graham + Sibbald  as Director, Senior Architect and Passivhaus Designer with Graeme appointed as Associate, Senior Architectural Technologist and Approved Certifier of Design (Energy) Scotland for new and existing residential properties.

The appointments bring significant experience in project delivery across a wide range of sectors including  site analysis, feasibility studies and development appraisals, social affordable and private developer housing, community and care projects, local, further and higher educational environments, conservation, regeneration and conversion work of historic buildings and within conservation areas, refurbishment and redevelopment of existing buildings, light industrial, offices, healthcare, sport, leisure and entertainment.

The Graham + Sibbald in-house Architectural team have widespread experience in both new build developments and the refurbishment and fit out of all types of buildings. They provide a full range of design and related support services to our clients across the UK and will ensure that your project is delivered seamlessly, on programme and within budget.

Tom has a comprehensive working knowledge in the support and delivery of publicly funded projects from a wide range of sources including; Scottish Government Regeneration and Capital Grant Fund, Housing Association Grant Funding, Vacant Derelict Land Improvement Programme, Sport Scotland Funding, National Lottery and National Lottery Heritage Fund, Historic Environment Scotland Building Repair Grant, Architectural Heritage Fund, Glasgow City Heritage Trust and Smarter Choices Smarter Places funding through Transport Scotland.

Our Architectural teams work closely with our in-house Building Surveying and Project Management specialists whilst engaging with the Carbon + Sustainability department in identifying opportunities and solutions for retrofit within the current climate crisis. Graham + Sibbald are conscious of the demands, challenges, and opportunities placed on our existing building stock across the UK, particularly over the coming decade and beyond, in planning, developing and integrating green and carbon reduction strategies and targets to ensure buildings achieve relevant performance standards.

Graham + Sibbald now has over 240 employees and 23 Partners working across its 18 UK offices in Scotland and England.
