Graham + Sibbald Announces Five New Associates

Graham + Sibbald are delighted to announce the promotion of; Bilal Ashraf, Sara Mathieson, Kyle Davidson, Michael Anderson and Finlay Mulvie to Associate level.

Graham + Sibbald has around 200 employees and 20 partners working across its 16 UK offices in Scotland and England where the Firm added Manchester in 2019 to its growing office network.

Bilal Ashraf joined Graham + Sibbald in early 2020 as a Senior Surveyor, assisting the Edinburgh Agency team. As an RICS Registered Valuer, he undertakes a wide range of work, focusing mainly on Commercial Agency, Valuation and Advisory, acting on behalf of a range of clients including major financial institutions, pension funds, solicitors and private clients. Bilal recently relocated to join the firms Manchester office where the team have recently expanded their service offering to now include Commercial Agency services in Manchester and the surrounding areas. He is dedicated to providing the highest quality service and is excited to be working to provide a new service South of the border.

Sara Mathieson is an RICS Registered Valuer and Chartered Surveyor with over 10 years’ experience in the Scottish Commercial property market. She studied Property (MA) at Aberdeen University and joined Graham + Sibbald’s Aberdeen office in November 2018. Having previously worked for Jones Lang LaSalle in Edinburgh and latterly FG Burnett in Aberdeen for over 7 years, Sara specialises in agency and commercial valuation. She provides advice to a range of clients from; commercial lettings, sales, acquisitions and rent reviews, representing both landlords and tenants. She also provides valuation advice for acquisition and secured lending purposes as well as valuations of property portfolios for financial statements. Sara has the knowledge, skill and expertise to provide a high quality service to all clients.

Based within the Inverness office, Kyle Davidson is a Chartered Surveyor, RICS Registered Valuer and Domestic Energy Assessor with over twelve years’ experience in the Highland residential property market.  Kyle graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2012 with an honours degree in Property Management and Valuation and gained Chartered status in 2014. Specialising in residential valuations, he carries out a variety of surveys on a daily basis for the preparation of Home Reports, mortgage valuations, EPC’s and land valuations. These reports are carried out on behalf of solicitors, estate agents and lenders as well as instructions from independent clients. His local knowledge and expertise contribute towards our Inverness residential team and Kyle is dedicated to providing the highest quality level of service to all clients within the Highland area.

Michael Anderson joined the Graham + Sibbald Stirling office in November 2015 as a Graduate Surveyor working towards completing his APC. Since qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2018 Michael has specialised in residential valuations, carrying out Home Reports and Mortgage Valuations for a variety of clients including banks and estate agents, as well as individual clients. Michael studied Property Management and Valuation at Glasgow Caledonian University and went on to work with a well-known high end Estate Agency firm in Glasgow. Michael has also spent time working within the property management sector in Glasgow and more recently as a property valuer for an estate agency firm in Stirling. With a wealth of residential property knowledge within the local area, Michael strives to consistently provide a high level of service to all clients and ensures all reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

In Glasgow, Finlay Mulvie is a Chartered Surveyor and an RICS registered valuer with a focus on commercial valuation in the office, retail, industrial and commercial land sectors. Originally from Stirling, he graduated from Heriot Watt University in 2008 with a degree in Urban Real Estate Management + Development. After a period spent working abroad, he returned to Scotland and joined Graham + Sibbald in 2016. Finlay is based in the Glasgow office where his day-to-day work covers the catchment areas of the West, Central and South-West of Scotland. He undertakes commercial surveys for a variety of purposes such as loan security in addition to private client work including acquisitions and disposals, valuations for accounting purposes and pensions/SIPPs. Recent projects include assisting with the valuation of a large portfolio for a tourism-sector client and providing valuation advice in respect of a substantial diverse portfolio within the Local Authority sector.
