Graduate Apprenticeship Intake 2022

Graham + Sibbald are excited to announce that they have welcomed seven Student Surveyors as part of their Graduate Apprenticeship (GA) intake for 2022.

One of the largest annual supporters of Edinburgh Napier University’s Graduate Apprenticeship BSc (Hons) Construction and the Built Environment course, Graham + Sibbald have enrolled two students in to the Architectural Technology course for the first time as the business continues on an upward growth trajectory.

Each course consists of distance learning via an online platform paired with set block release periods three times per annum. The course, which offers an alternative route towards a career in Surveying, allows Students to earn while they learn and put in to practice what they are learning in the classroom through real-world experiences. Whether you are a School leaver or looking for a career change, a Graduate Apprenticeship with Graham + Sibbald offers the training, experience and support you need.

Alasdair Hamilton, Conal Philliben, Declan Harrison, Jack McDowall, Jack Sibbald, Khali Fraser and Layla Thorburn will all be starting on courses with Edinburgh Napier University, working across a variety of office locations and service lines within the business.

Graham + Sibbald are committed to the recruitment, support, development and retention of young people within the business and have been recognised for their efforts, receiving a Silver Investors in Young People (IIYP) accreditation.

In total, Graham + Sibbald boast a total complement of 20 Student Surveyors, 19 of which are enrolled with Edinburgh Napier University. In late 2022, the first Student Surveyor enrolled on the GA course back in 2018, Eve Mitchell, will be Graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Construction and the Built Environment.

Rhona Smith, Employer Liaison & Student Recruitment Manager at Napier, said: “Graduate Apprenticeships are a fantastic way for employees to gain practical experience and academic knowledge, whilst gaining an internationally recognised qualification through combining work-based learning and university attendance. Graham + Sibbald are one of our largest supporters of the course with students in every year group. It’s been a great success and we look forward to getting to know the latest intake of Students for this year.”
