Anchorus Ltd are delighted to be bringing proposals for a new holiday lodge development on land to the north of the A823, north of Gleneagles. The site subject to this consultation is shown bound in red on the plan below.

The proposal is for a commercial development comprising 68 holiday lodges, manager’s accommodation lodge, hub building, 19 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging spaces, landscaping, open space, site access, and associated works at land 1,000m east of Muirhead Cottage, Auchterarder.

Each lodge will be single- storey and be capable of internal reconfiguration to provide a 2-bedroom or 3 bedroom layout. The lodges will have external storage for bikes or outdoor equipment along with a private rear yard area and raised deck. The lodges will be procured from a prefabricated holiday lodge manufacturer based in Perthshire.

The hub building will be situated at the access to the site and will provide an entry feature and welcome-point for visitors arriving by car. It will provide reception facilities, a farm shop/deli, gym, EV charging within the car park, and outdoor informal play area.

The proposal also includes a Manager’s Accommodation, to provide a residence for an on-site manager and their family. This is required to promote enhanced security, prevent anti-social behaviour, and offer assistance in case of a maintenance issue or emergency.
