A recent article has seen the ancient Scottish capital Dunfermline voted the top city in the UK in terms of value for money and high standard of living due to its affordability, well-paid jobs, comparatively low house prices and a favourable ration of property costs to household income.
Dunfermline has a resident population of circa 58,500 persons and is considered one of the main commercial centres within the Fife region. It has recently been granted city status and Dunfermline has, as a whole, been subject to significant expansion over the last two to three decades.
The city is strategically placed in East Central Scotland with excellent transports links via the M90 motorway which links to the M9 and M8 connecting Dunfermline to all of the country’s motorway networks.

Ceile Boyle is a Chartered Surveyor who works with clients and colleagues across Fife. She joined Graham + Sibbald in August 2021 as a Graduate Surveyor, passing her Assessment of Professional Competency in 2023 to become Chartered.
