A recent article has seen the ancient Scottish capital Dunfermline voted the top city in the UK in terms of value for money and high standard of living due to its affordability, well-paid jobs, comparatively low house prices and a favourable ration of property costs to household income.
Dunfermline has a resident population of circa 58,500 persons and is considered one of the main commercial centres within the Fife region. It has recently been granted city status and Dunfermline has, as a whole, been subject to significant expansion over the last two to three decades.
