Chartered Surveyors Promote Six New Associates

Graham + Sibbald, UK Chartered Surveyors and Property Consultants, have announced the promotion of Andrew Lyle, Gregor Stewart, Kenny McKenzie, Lucy Fraser, Murray Rankin and Nicola Dalton to Associate level.

Andrew is a Chartered Building Surveyor within the Graham + Sibbald Inverness office. He graduated with an Honours Degree in Building Surveying from Robert Gordon University in 2011 starting his professional career as a Graduate Building Surveyor with Graham + Sibbald in 2012. Experienced in all sectors of Building Surveying, including Construction Monitoring, Contract Administration, Dilapidations, Building Surveys, Building Pathology, Insurance Reinstatement Assessments and Stock Condition Surveys. Andrew has been an accredited Commercial Energy Performance Assessor since 2014.

Gregor joined Graham + Sibbald in 2018 and graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying in 2019. With previous experience in commercial and residential property development, he passed his APC to become a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2021. Gregor regularly undertakes Building Surveys, Schedules of Condition, Reinstatement Cost Assessments and Technical Defect Analysis reporting on behalf of both private and public sector clients. Gregor acts for both landlords and tenants to provide dilapidations advice and negotiates claims. Gregor also regularly acts as Contract Administrator on a range of projects for new and existing clients.

Kenny is a Chartered Surveyor with over 9 years of experience within the Inverness Commercial property market. He studied Property Management + Valuation (Hons) at Glasgow Caledonian University and started working with Graham + Sibbald in 2014 after completing a placement year in 2013. Specialising in Commercial Agency, Kenny carries out a variety of surveys on a weekly basis for the purpose of; property disposals, rent reviews, lease extensions and more. These inspections are carried out on behalf of a wide range of clients across multiple sectors. His knowledge and expertise play a key role in supporting our Inverness commercial team.

Lucy is a Building Surveyor with the firms Inverness office having joined Graham + Sibbald in June 2016, where she achieved her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) in December 2018. Lucy is experienced in all sectors of Building Surveying, including Contract Administration, Building Surveys, Schedule of Conditions, Insurance Reinstatement Assessments and Stock Condition Surveys. She is also able to provide AutoCAD drawings and can submit Building Warrant Applications on behalf of her clients.

Murray studied at the University of Glasgow and graduated with an MSc in City & Regional Planning in 2017, prior to which he studied Geography at the University of St Andrews. Murray joined Graham + Sibbald’s Planning and Development team in September 2017 as a Graduate Planner and went on to complete his Assessment of Professional Competence in early 2020, qualifying as a Chartered Town Planner MRTPI. In the time he has been with Graham + Sibbald, Murray has gained experience in a variety of planning matters such as development plan representations, planning applications, objections, and general consultancy. Murray is committed to a professional standard of the highest quality, and he has experience of working with clients across a variety of industries including public sector, petroleum, energy, housebuilding, healthcare, and retail.

Nicola has been working in the Property Management Accounts industry for almost 20 years having started as an Accounts Assistant for a company in Dublin. She moved to Glasgow and has worked for a number of well-known Property Management companies throughout her career and is particularly knowledgeable across a number of accounting systems. Nicola joined the Graham + Sibbald team in November 2020 from Saltire Property Management where her role within the team includes financial and arrears management and ensuring that the specific requirements of each of her clients are being fully met.
