Welcome to the October edition of our Rating Newsletter. Assessor’s staff and Finance Departments throughout Scotland are beginning to return to their offices and negotiation on the huge backlog of Valuation and Rates Invoice appeals gathers pace. We have been in negotiation with both departments but discussions have often stalled due to required re-inspections.
Assessors staff may be in direct contact with you to inspect buildings that have undergone changes over the last 18 months. A right of Appeal is available on any increase in rateable value.
