APC Candidates Pass

Graham + Sibbald are delighted to announce our two newly qualified Chartered Building Surveyors; Daniel Tucker (Manchester) and Marc Garside (Glasgow) who have both successfully passed their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) in the second half of 2021.

Graham + Sibbald aim to have all staff qualified to the highest level possible, and so, our APC candidates are supported and mentored by key staff members who have received training through the RICS to become qualified APC Assessors.

Daniel Tucker joined Graham + Sibbald in May 2020, following thirteen years with the world’s largest building protection manufactures. He studied Building Surveying at The University of Salford and graduated in 2012 with First Class Honours. Prior to his degree he also achieved a Distinction in his Higher National Certificate (HNC) at Stockport College in Construction and the Built Environment, boasting a strong technical background.

Daniel commented: “I am delighted to have passed my APC and now be a Chartered Building Surveyor. The level of training and support I was given throughout was instrumental in allowing me to further my knowledge and develop my skillset. I’m excited to see what my future holds within Graham + Sibbald going forward, alongside my colleagues.”

Marc Garside studied Building Surveying BSc (Hons) at Glasgow Caledonian University and joined Graham + Sibbald in April 2019. He is proficient in Building Surveys, Schedules of Condition, Technical Defect Analysis, Dilapidation Surveys and Negotiation and Reinstatement Cost Assessments. Marc is a dedicated and key member of the Glasgow building surveying team and is committed to providing a high standard of service to all clients.

Marc said: “I am hugely thankful for the support I’ve received from my colleagues throughout the APC process as it really has made all the difference to my success. It is certainly not an easy road but I am delighted to have passed and look forward to progressing my career with Graham + Sibbald and taking on more responsibility.”
