APC Candidates Pass 2021

Graham + Sibbald are delighted to announce our two newly qualified Chartered Surveyors; Tom Conway (Glasgow) and Callum Maclean (Inverness), who have both successfully passed their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) in May 2021.

This represents a continued 100% success rate for Graham + Sibbald, of which we pride ourselves in achieving annually. Our aim is to have all staff qualified to the highest level possible, and so, our APC candidates are fully supported and mentored by key staff members who have received training through the RICS to become qualified APC Assessors.

Tom Conway graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in July 2018 with an honours degree in Real Estate and joined Graham + Sibbald in January 2020, as part of the Glasgow Commercial Agency team. His primary focus is to provide lettings, sales and acquisitions on behalf of a wide variety of clients. Tom also offers strategic advice to his clients in relation to their specific commercial property requirements, and aims always to achieve optimum results.

Tom commented: “The support within the business has been fantastic throughout my entire APC process, and I’m thrilled to have passed. It’s a stressful journey but nothing beats that feeling of seeing your name on the RICS website, knowing all your hard work has paid off. I look forward to progressing my career within Graham + Sibbald and I’m excited to be working within such a busy and diverse office in Glasgow.”

Callum Maclean studied (BA) Business at Glasgow Caledonian University, graduating in 2014, after which he pursued an accounting career. He then decided to move into the world of Surveying and joined Graham + Sibbald in August 2017, completing an MSc in Real Estate. Callum carries out surveys on a daily basis mainly for the purpose of commercial valuations although he also undertakes various other tasks of a commercial nature including general agency and rent reviews.

Callum said: “I am delighted to have passed my APC and now be a fully Qualified Commercial Surveyor. The level of training and support I was given throughout the whole process was instrumental in allowing me to further my knowledge and develop my skillset. I’m excited to see what my future holds within Graham + Sibbald going forward, alongside my colleagues.”

Les McAndrew, Graham + Sibbald Senior Partner, commented: “The Firm are committed to providing training and offering career development for all staff members. We are pleased that these Surveyors have gained their Chartered status and look forward to seeing them take this next step in their careers with Graham + Sibbald.”
