Graham + Sibbald are delighted to announce the success of Murdo McAndrew (Edinburgh) and Luca Mancini (Glasgow) who have successfully passed their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and are now Chartered Surveyors.
Graham + Sibbald aim to train and develop all of our staff members to allow them to be qualified to the highest level possible, and so our APC candidates are supported and mentored by key staff members within the business who have received training through the RICS to become qualified APC Assessors.
Murdo McAndrew joined the Edinburgh Commercial Agency team in 2018 as a Graduate Surveyor. Prior to joining Graham + Sibbald Murdo gained a BA (Hons) in Business Management and worked in Brand Management and Marketing. Murdo decided this wasn’t the career path for him and went back to University and achieved a Masters in Real Estate. Completing his Masters whilst working at Graham + Sibbald allowed him to gain real world insight and put theory into practice. This is shown in his day-to-day work as his expertise, time management and organisational skills ensure that all aspects of investment, acquisitions, disposals and lease renewals run smoothly and efficiently.
Murdo commented: “I am thrilled to have passed my APC and now be a Chartered Surveyor. I am hugely thankful for the support I’ve received from all my colleagues throughout the APC process as it has been instrumental to my success. I’m excited to see what is next in my journey at Graham + Sibbald.”
Luca Mancini joined Graham + Sibbald in July 2018 as a Graduate Surveyor after achieving a BSc (Hons) Real Estate at Glasgow Caledonian University. Luca specialises in Residential valuations working from our Glasgow and Hamilton office. In his daily workload, Luca assists on a number of Surveys for the purpose of home reports, mortgage valuations, EPC’s and more. These reports are carried out for all major lenders across Scotland as well as many local solicitors, estate agents and private clients. Luca enjoys the fast pace within the Residential team and is dedicated to providing the highest quality service to all clients.
Luca commented: “My time with Graham + Sibbald has been greatly beneficial to my development and preparation towards sitting my APC. The level of training and support I was given throughout allowed me to further my knowledge and develop my skillset. I am delighted to have passed my APC and look forward to this next step in my career.”
