APC Candidate Pass

Graham + Sibbald are delighted to announce the success of Murray Rankin (Glasgow), who successfully passed his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and is now a Chartered Planner.

This represents a continued one hundred percent success rate for Graham + Sibbald, of which we pride ourselves in achieving annually. Our aim is that all of our staff are qualified to the highest level possible, and so our APC candidates are supported and mentored by key qualified staff members.

Murray Rankin works within the Planning team, based in our Glasgow office. He studied at the University in Glasgow and graduated with an MSc in City + Regional Planning in 2017 and joined Graham + Sibbald in September of the same year. In the short amount of time that Murray has been with the firm, he has gained experience in a variety of planning matters such as development plan representations, planning applications, objections and general consultancy. Murray is committed to providing a professional standard of the highest quality and has worked with clients across a variety of industries including public sector, petroleum, energy, housebuilding, healthcare and retail.

Murray commented: “Passing my APC and being able to say that I am now a Chartered Planner with an MRTPI is great! The APC process is a stressful one and I feel lucky to have had the full support of my colleagues across Graham + Sibbald to prepare and encourage me over the last few years. Our team is growing and I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my career as I continue to learn and settle in to my new title.”

Calum Campbell, Graham + Sibbald Managing Partner, commented: “The Firm are committed to providing training and offering career development for all staff members. We are pleased that Murray has gained their Chartered status and look forward to seeing him take this next step in his career with Graham + Sibbald.”
