Graham + Sibbald Announces 9 New Directors

Graham + Sibbald, a trusted name in the UK property market, are delighted to announce the promotion of Andrew Daly, Garth Davison, Grant Robertson, Kyle Porter, Martin Douglas, Michael Duncan, Peter Fleming, Peter Seymour and Terry McFarlane to Director level.

Andrew Daly is appointed Director of Architectural Services based within our Glasgow office, undertaking projects on behalf of clients across the UK. He has over 19 years’ experience working in the construction industry throughout the UK and joined Graham + Sibbald in 2002. Specialising in architectural technology and design, Andrew takes construction projects from initial brief through to design concept, planning, warrant, tender and construction phases to completion and works with a variety of project types ranging from industrial, commercial, retail and new build to name a few.

Originally from Carnoustie, Garth Davison joined Graham + Sibbald in 2011 before moving back to his roots in the Dundee commercial department where his role covers Dundee, Angus, Perth and North Fife. He achieved his Masters in Real Estate Management and Development at Heriot Watt University, whilst undertaking his professional training and became chartered in 2014. Garth became an Associate in the firm in 2017. As an RICS Registered Valuer Garth undertakes a wide range of work, focusing mainly on Commercial Agency and Valuation, acting on behalf of a range of clients including major financial institutions, pension funds, property companies, solicitors, accountants and also private clients.

Grant Robertson also joined the Graham + Sibbald Dundee Commercial department in 2011 as a Graduate Surveyor, having graduated from the University of Aberdeen. He undertakes a wide variety of work across all aspects of Commercial property covering Dundee, Angus and North Fife. As an RICS Registered Valuer, he provides valuation advice to a mix of local and national clients along with all major lending institutions. In addition, Grant provides advice on Agency work to a wide variety of clients for various purposes from buying and selling to investment and consultancy.

Based within our busy Tayside Residential department, Kyle Porter covers the wider Angus and North Fife areas. He joined the Graham + Sibbald in 2006 as a school leaver and studied Estate Management (BSc Hons) at the University of Reading whilst undertaking his professional training. As an RICS Registered Valuer he is involved in all aspects of residential property valuation, mainly focused on Home Reports and valuations for secured lending purposes on behalf of local solicitors, estate agents, major financial institutions and independent clients.

Martin Douglas is a Chartered Surveyor with 1 years’ experience in the West of Scotland Residential market. He began his career with Graham + Sibbald in 2003 within the firms Paisley office after studying Property Management and Valuation (BSc Hons) at Glasgow Caledonian University. Martin currently heads up the Paisley office specialising in residential valuations, providing detailed and accurate advice to a wide range of clients such as; local estate agents, all main stream lenders, independent clients, local authorities and the major house builders.

Located in our established Aberdeen office at Carden Place, Michael Duncan studied at Aberdeen University before joining Graham + Sibbald as a Graduate in 2007. Michael went on to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor in 2009 and was promoted to Associate in 2014. As an RICS Registered Valuer, he carries out Residential surveys and valuation work within Aberdeen and the North-East of Scotland. Mainly involved in the delivery of Portfolio Valuations, Home Reports, Energy Performance Certificates, Private Client Reports and Mortgage Lending, Michael works on behalf a wide range of clients to provide a high quality service.

Peter Fleming specialises in the acquisition and disposal of commercial property assets throughout the UK specialising in Land + Development sites for Build to Rent schemes and Student/Social Housing, whilst also providing strong analytical and financial cash flow modelling skills. He has over 10 years’ experience in advising clients on their portfolio of assets and on a variety of disposal and acquisition strategies.

Working within our Hotel + Leisure team, Peter Seymour is a Chartered Surveyor with over 14 years’ experience within the Hotel and Leisure sector. He graduated with Distinction from Heriot Watt University in 2009, whilst working and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2011. He merged his independent practice with Graham + Sibbald in 2017, becoming an Associate to help lead the growth and development of the firms Hotel + Leisure service offering. He has been involved with disposals and acquisitions, valuations, rent reviews, landlord and tenant negotiations and property management during his careers for an extensive range of clients and working alongside industry specialist, Alistair Letham has taken this department from strength to strength.

A recognised name in the industry, Terry McFarlane has over 25 years’ experience in the Scottish property market. He graduated with a BSc in Land Economics from the University of Paisley and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1994. His career focus has been the commercial agency market with a specialism in retail agency and development, providing acquisition, disposal and portfolio advice to clients ranging from property companies, funds, individual start up retail businesses and national retail clients, together with Public Sector organisations.
