Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager (HSEQ)

Achieving the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety qualification, and currently working towards Chartered Membership with the Institution of Health and Safety (IOSH).  Matthew joined the Graham + Sibbald’s Asset Services team in 2019, to complement colleagues delivering excellent client and customers services. The diverse role, enables him to support colleagues meeting their health and safety responsibilities, by providing information and advise on relevant current best practice for prevention and developing strategies for managing safety.

To support line management with the co-ordination of health and safety effort, Matthew is a member of the firms health and safety committee.  Other examples of his day to day responsibilities include; carrying out site visits, safety inspections and safety audits to identify problems (including hazards) and assist in the assessment of risks. Investigating accidents and finding ways to prevent the happening again. Designing and delivering training courses on health and safety issues. Liaising and monitoring contractor activities – for example reviewing RAMS and controlling high risk work.
