Graham + Sibbald swing into action as new Hospice sponsor
Surveyors on Par to Support Glasgow Charity’s Annual Golf Challenge Cup.
Graham + Sibbald, one of Scotland’s leading Chartered Surveyors, has just been announced as the new sponsor of The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice’s annual golf challenge cup.
A long standing supporter of the Hospice, Graham + Sibbald has participated in the challenge cup for several years and has been involved in numerous other events, including the charity’s annual Sportsman’s Dinner and Celebration of Burns.
Held at Prestwick Golf Course, one of Scotland’s premier courses, the event is in its 12th successful year and is one of just six charity events to be held at the club there annually. Around 80 businessmen from the length and breadth of the country will take part in the one-day event which last year raised £12,000.
Ian Gillies, managing partner at Graham + Sibbald commented: “We have supported the Hospice for many years and it is with great pleasure that we have extended that to sponsor the Challenge Cup. The Hospice provides an invaluable service through specialist palliative care and we are proud to be able to help them continue with this outstanding work.”
Morag Cunningham, director of fundraising at the Hospice, said: “The Hospice is delighted that Graham + Sibbald is our new sponsor for this event. By pledging their support, they are helping us to help patients and their families during the most difficult period of their lives.”
Prestwick Golf Club is located on the west coast of Scotland overlooking Isle of Arran. It was home to the Open Golf Championship from its inception in 1860 until 1872 and holds a special place in the hearts of links golf aficionados.
