GRAHAM + SIBBALD, are acting on the instructions of Scottish Executive to sell a greenfield site of approximately 30.79 acres (12.46 hectares). This residential development opportunity will offer a new-build allocation for 100 houses.

The land adjacent to the former Liff hospital on the western outskirts of Dundee, which will expand the new Liff village, is to go on the market mid August and is expected to attract offers of around £5 million from developers.

It forms the southern section of the of the new village in the Dundee Western Gateway area, the whole site has been given the green light in the city council’s Local Plan review of 2005.

In terms of the adopted Dundee Local Plan Review 2005, the Liff Hospital village has an allocation for 250 homes, of which 150 have been taken up by development company Duncarse.

The area has become a magnet for buyers from Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and other areas south of the border, with many connected to the biomedical industry at Ninewells and Dundee University.

Alastair Todd, Partner of Graham and Sibbald based in Dundee said the development would be likely to attract wide interest form national house builders.

He added that if necessary approvals were granted, construction work could start next summer.
