Increased deals made in Inverness

The Inverness office of Graham + Sibbald have completed 14 agency transactions in the last two months which is an encouraging  sign of increased activity in the commercial property sector throughout the Highlands and Islands.

The Agency Department sold or leased on behalf of their clients 6 Industrial units ranging from 13,000sqm to 51sqm, a city centre office investment, offices in Inverness, Lochalsh and South Uist as well as a retail unit in the city centre.

Andrew Rose, Chartered Surveyor at the Inverness office comments: “One of the properties leased is a retail property at 10 Drummond Street which was on the market for a relatively short period of time and would suggest that there is still reasonable demand for city centre properties.

The enquiries and offers received for industrial units suggest that there is still good demand for Longman freehold sites but also indicate encouraging levels of demand in areas such as Skye and Lochalsh where at present demand exceeds supply in several locations.”
