Partner Calum Campbell becomes Office Head

David Ross steps up to Head of Building Surveying

Partners Calum Campbell and David Ross take on new responsibilities at the Glasgow office from the start of October.

Norman Fisher, who was head of Building Surveying, retired in September and David Ross will take on this role, heading up one of the largest Building Surveying Departments in Scotland with a team of 21 professionals.  David has been with the company for 30 years and will continue to develop the Building Surveying and Architectural Departments from their existing well established base.

Calum Campbell, the new head of the Glasgow office comments: “This restructuring will ensure a smooth transition for our clients.  The office continues to expand, having recently announced three new associates and taken on seven new members of staff over the past few months.  This brings our total numbers in Glasgow to almost fifty staff and we continue our commitment to bring young talent in to the business with three of these appointments being at graduate level.  These new appointments build on our strong existing team and ensure we are in good shape to create new opportunities for the business and our clients going forward.”

Calum Campbell has been with the firm for over 15 years and is experienced in a number of sectors including healthcare, the petroleum and roadside sector and property management which he continues to head.

Campbell commented: “Over recent months the Glasgow office has experienced encouraging levels of growth, both locally, on the back of our local business knowledge, and nationally where our specialist teams continue to drive forward a variety of exciting new projects across the country.  Such projects include a recent development in Liverpool involving the refurbishment of 267 student bedrooms and WC’s, along with alterations to provide a new Student Gym facility with adjoining Cinema Room, Games Room and Common / Study Rooms.”

Ross added “Our specialist teams are also active on a local level and have recently provided complete project management services for a new build dementia centre in Prestwick and a new build care home development in Ayr.”
