Positive Movements in Perthshire Commercial Property Market

Positive Movements in Perthshire Commercial Property Market

Graham + Sibbald have sold two commercial properties in Perthshire following successful closing dates in recent weeks and completed an industrial letting to result in full occupancy at a Perth based industrial estate.

Sole selling agents for 117 High Street, Auchterarder, Graham + Sibbald sold the property, following a competitive closing date to a private individual at a price well in excess of the asking figure of £230,000.  The subjects were previously tenanted by Clydesdale Bank and occupy a prime spot on High Street.

Graham + Sibbald were also sole selling agents for 1+5 Atholl Street, Perth.  The former SWRI building, located in Perth city centre, transacted above the asking at a successful closing date with a clutch of offers received.

The G+S Perth office has also recently secured a new industrial letting, on behalf of C. & W. Assets Limited, property holding company of J Smart & Co (Contractors) PLC, at the Arran Industrial Estate, North Muirton, Perth.

Acting as sole letting agents, G +S has let Unit 16 at an initial rent of £7,500 per annum for a five year term.   This latest letting means that the estate is now at full occupancy, the first time in a number of years.

Garth Davison, surveyor with Graham + Sibbald, said: “We are delighted to announce another letting on behalf of C. & W. Assets Limited.  The market continues to be strong for these small units, let on flexible terms and this final letting further shows the popularity of North Muirton as an Industrial Location. “

“It is also positive that we can announce the sale of both 117 High Street, Auchterarder and 1+5 Atholl Street, Perth.  Our marketing campaign generated a lot of interest from both private investors and owner occupiers which allowed us to set closing dates fairly quickly.  This activity adds to the existing positives signs in the commercial market of Perth and wider Perthshire.”
