Patisserie Valerie Expansion in Scotland

Patisserie Valerie Expansion in Scotland

Glasgow café to open at Royal Exchange Square

Patisserie Valerie is an artisan craft bakery that has 100 cafes across the UK.  The company’s first cafe opened in Frith Street in London’s Soho in 1926, and it is about to launch a third cafe in Glasgow City Centre.  Patisserie Valerie has been expanding in Scotland in recent years and this latest café will be the ninth in Scotland.

The new cafe will be located at 20 Royal Exchange Square in Glasgow City Centre, an impressive Category A Listed building.  Graham + Sibbald is the retained planning consultant for Patisserie Valerie and its planning team recently secured listed building and advertisement consent for this new outlet.

The location and architectural quality of 20 Royal Exchange Square is a natural fit with Patisserie Valerie’s offering and launching its newest cafe in Glasgow City Centre will assist in establishing the brand as a mainstay within Glasgow’s café culture.

Kerri McGuire, Graham + Sibbald Associate in the Planning Team, commented: “We are pleased to be able to assist Patisserie Valerie with all of the planning requirements associated with its Scottish expansion.”
