GS signs pledge for 'Clean Up Scotland Campaign'

The environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful wants to recruit one million Scots into a clean-up campaign to clear Scotland of litter in the run-up to the Commonwealth Games and the Ryder Cup in 2014. Clean Up Scotland starts in 2013 and will run until the end of 2014.

Now more than ever, ‘the environment’ ranks high on Graham + Sibbald’s business agenda and therefore we are delighted to support the Clean Up Scotland Campaign.

As a firm we are committed to sustainable, responsible business practices to reduce waste through our own projects and in our own operations. We are passionate about contributing to the communities in which we operate and encourage our people to join together to make a difference where it matters.

Derek A. Robertson, Chief Executive of Keep Scotland Beautiful, comments: "I am delighted that such a prominent and respected Scottish business as Graham and Sibbald is eager to back our Campaign. Their own commitment to environmental impact sets a high standard and I am certain that many other Scottish companies will want to follow their lead. They are a highly valued Supporter of Keep Scotland Beautiful and the Clean Up Scotland Campaign."

As a nation Scotland will take centre-stage in hosting a range of high profile events in 2013/14 with millions of people both visiting Scotland and watching from afar. This presents an ideal opportunity to highlight the natural beauty of Scotland and all that it has to offer on an international scale.

Graham + Sibbald fully support the aims and ambitions of the  Clean Up Scotland Campaign which is uniquely placed to act as a catalyst for change in winning the hearts and minds of Scotland’s people for a cleaner, greener country whilst embedding permanent change to Keep Scotland Beautiful for generations to come.
