GS Residential Review for October 2011

‘As we head towards the winter period there has been a definite slowing in the residential market with less second hand properties coming on the market for sale.  This will undoubtedly help existing stock as supply becomes more limited, although more purchasers seem to be holding out for a home that 'ticks all the boxes'.  This can often cause good homes in good locations to sell in excess of valuation figures.  Seasonal trends suggest that in general activity will continue to slow, thus maintaining a downward pressure on prices.’
