Calderwood Square
External repairs Program – compiling a tender and co-ordinating works.
“This project was well managed with the program of works tailored to meet budget restrictions throughout the project. The requirement to ensure that the centre remained open and trading throughout the contract was catered for. There was constant consultation with us as Clients along with addition contact with the tenants who run their business from the site and would be affected by the works.”

Chevron Group
Graham + Sibbald's specialist Petroleum & Roadside Services Team completed an extensive portfolio valuation exercise on behalf of the Chevron Group's joint venture partnership between Texaco Investment Netherlands Inc & Norsk Hydro ASA, in Scandinavia. Following the valuation, the U.S.-based Chevron Corp. and Norsk Hydro ASA announced the sale of their joint Hydro Texaco gas station chain to Norway's Reitan Servicehandel group. Our portfolio review included the provision of strategic advice in relation to the value of the portfolio for existing use, together with an appraisal of the latent development value of the property base. When considering a disposal of this nature, it is essential that the Company is aware of the true underlying value of its property assets, for alternative use, which can frequently far exceed the value of the properties for their existing use.

Accord Hospice
The Accord Hospice has praised Graham + Sibbald for their assistance in dealing with the property interests of the Hospice. Graham + Sibbald advised the Hospice on the price that it would be reasonable to offer in respect of the purchase of the ground and original building. Graham + Sibbald provided further advice with the sale of the surrounding land, that the redevelopment of the former hospital site for residential purposes should be carried out in such a way as to minimise any disruption to the Hospice function. Subsequent to the purchase of the ground, the Hospice Council of Management agreed that it would be appropriate to have the asset valued. Graham & Sibbald were duly instructed and have now completed the valuation which was carried out on a depreciated replacement cost (DRC) basis.

The Keith Corporation
Graham + Sibbald has been involved in a major new bespoke lab, office and storage development, extending to 135000 sqft, in Livingston for American based developers THE KEITH CORPORATION.
TKC acted on behalf of their clients for a £18m hi-tech business park development. They received funding from Clydesdale bank. North Carolina based TKC specialises in build-to- suit and business park development and was brokered by Tiger Advisers, following a team-to-team presentation by Clydesdale bank to Graham + Sibbald.
A principal requirement for TKC in purchasing the earmarked 14 acre site at the Alba Campus in Livingston, from Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh & Lothians (SEEL), was to limit its exposure to risk.
Graham + Sibbald assisted the Keith Corp on this new development for one of the world's largest pharmaceutical research companies, securing circa 700 jobs for the local economy.
Without the intimate knowledge of the Scottish property market and the main players, life in terms of facilitating this development would have been much, much more difficult.
