Qualified Valuer - Glasgow Office

Our Glasgow Office is seeking to recruit a Chartered Surveyor who is also an RICS Registered Valuer to join the existing Valuation Team carrying out a mix of valuations in the retail, industrial and office sectors in the West of Scotland, mainly in the sub £1M bracket. Building Surveyor - Glasgow Office

Our Glasgow Office is seeking to recruit a Chartered or soon to be Chartered Surveyor to join the existing Building Surveying Team. Residential Surveyor - Aberdeen Office 


An opportunity has arisen for either a Chartered or soon to be Chartered Surveyor to join our busy Residential team in Aberdeen. The role will primarily involve undertaking Home Reports and Mortgage Valuations across Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland for a range of local and national clients. You background may not be in Residential Surveying (e.g. Building Surveyor) but we're willing to provide full training and support to the right candidate.

 

Ideal candidates will be driven and self motivated, with good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Knowledge of the area would be preferred but is not essential. An excellent renumeration package is available.

Architectural Technician / Technologist - Glasgow Office  

 

Graham + Sibbald are recruiting for an Architectural Technician / Technologist with a strong technical ability to join an expanding architectural team to help deliver a wide range of new build & refurbishment projects in the industrial, commercial & housing sectors throughout Scotland & the North of England. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following;  

 

  • Strong technical ability – demonstratable experience producing statutory applications (planning, building warrants etc.)

  • Sound knowledge & understanding of the Scottish Building  Regulations, including Domestic & Non-Domestic Technical Handbooks

  • Confident construction detailing

  • Experience in measured surveys of existing buildings

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients & colleagues both orally  in writing

  • Proficient in AutoCAD LT, Revit LT experience beneficial

  • Preparation of design, construction & tender information

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an architectural capacity

  • Ideally looking to work towards membership qualification of CIAT (Chartered Institute Of Architectural Technologists) either TCIAT or MCIAT

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, committed attitude to work & flexible, adaptable & responsive approach to new challenges

Software Developer - Stirling Office

 

Graham + Sibbald are seeking a .NET developer to expand our team, reinforcing existing personnel and expanding our development capabilities. In addition to maintaining and developing the existing .NET web applications, the successful candidate will assist in the creation of mobile and tablet applications.

Daily duties will also include overseeing the Firm's public facing web content and liaising with external product providers to keep key third party systems up to date.

The post presents an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting and varies projects, developing with limited supervision to maintain and develop systems in your own way and having full ownership of the systems development lifecycle.

 

Experience

Candidates will have a 2:1 degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline and any relevant experience will be viewed favourably. All candidates should provide an example portfolio of work as this will form part of the interview process.

 

Essential Skills

  • visual studio
  • ASP .NET C#/ VB, XHTML/ CSS
  • SQL Server (of familiarity with equivalent RDBS)
